In 1924 a company first founded as “Ideal” in Berlin, Germany was at the forefront of manufacturing radios. As they produced and tested radios, they were marked with a blue dot for quality assurance. The blue dot had become a symbol of outstanding quality and customers were simply asking for the “bluepoint” which in German means “Blaupunkt”. For just under a century, Blaupunkt has been manufacturing car radios and navigation technology. In 2020 Blaupunkt introduced the eBike to their line of products.
